Effective from 2 November 2026
This policy explains what data we process on this website, in the Inverzia app (called “Above the Clouds” in English and “Über den Wolken” in German) and in the GymDict app, for what purpose, and what rights you have.
The controller is Dorotty, s. r. o., M. R. Štefánika 1066/6, 018 41 Dubnica nad Váhom, Slovakia, company ID (IČO) 46 651 951, registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court Trenčín, section Sro, file no. 26160/R.
For privacy matters, contact us at info@dorotty.cloud. We have not appointed a data protection officer because Article 37 GDPR does not require us to.
This website uses no analytics tools, no advertising systems and no tracking cookies. We do not create user accounts here and do not collect any data that you do not send us yourself.
The hosting provider may process technical data needed to deliver the content when the page loads, for example the IP address and browser type. This data is used to run and secure the server; we have no access to it in a form that would identify a particular person.
If you email us, we process your address and the content of the message solely to handle your request. We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle it and to prove our communication.
The app forecasts fish activity based on solunar theory and weather data. It is designed to need as little information about you as possible: it has no user accounts, requires no registration or sign-in, and most data never leaves your device.
Data stored on your device. The app stores locally your settings, saved fishing places (name of the town or village or the body of water, or coordinates), the selected fish species, the app language, the app appearance and your best results and settings in the games. This data is stored only in your phone’s storage, is not sent to our servers and we have no access to it.
Device location. The app may ask for access to your location to offer the forecast for where you are without searching for a town or village. The following applies:
External services. To get the weather forecast, the app calls the Open-Meteo service and sends it the approximate coordinates of the chosen or current place, rounded to about 1 km. It does not send your device identifier or any data that would identify you. The service is run by OpenMeteo GmbH, based in Switzerland, which has an adequate level of data protection under a decision of the European Commission; according to its website it has servers in Europe and North America. The app calls no other external interfaces; the list of Slovak municipalities is part of the installation package and needs no connection.
Payments and subscriptions. Some features of the app are or may in future be paid for by a one-off purchase or a subscription. Payments are processed solely by the store you installed the app from — Google Play or Apple’s App Store. You enter payment details, such as your card number and billing address, directly with Google or Apple and we never get access to them. From the store we only receive information on whether a purchase is valid and active, together with a technical purchase identifier and a product identifier. In Play Console and App Store Connect we see aggregate sales statistics, not the identity of individual buyers.
Diagnostics. To keep the app stable we may process anonymised technical data: device model, operating system version (Android or iOS), app version and a technical description of a crash or error. This data does not contain your name or the content of your saved places and is not used for profiling.
What the app does not do. It shows no ads, creates no advertising profiles, does not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing, does not read your contacts, messages or photos and does not track you outside the app.
How to delete your data. You can delete individual saved places directly in the app. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data from your device. You manage purchase-related data through your Google or Apple account.
The app uses weather data to forecast a morning sea of fog (temperature inversion) for viewpoints in Germany, Austria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Poland. It has no user accounts, requires no registration or sign-in, and most data never leaves your device.
Data stored on your device. The app stores locally the selected area (centre and radius), your favourites (name of the place or viewpoint, coordinates and, where available, elevation), the valleys calculated for them, the selected language and, temporarily, downloaded weather forecasts, which are deleted after 24 hours. This data is stored only in your phone’s storage, is not sent to our servers, and we have no access to it. If you download an offline country map, the map of a viewpoint’s surroundings or the elevation model for “What’s that peak?”, they too are stored only on your phone (excluded from cloud backups); uninstalling the app removes them, and the country map can also be removed with “Delete” in Settings.
Device location. The app may ask for access to your location to show you viewpoints and the fog forecast around where you are. The following applies:
Compass and barometer. You can turn on a compass that shows the direction of sunrise and of the valley, and an altimeter that measures your elevation with the phone’s barometer while you climb. Both measurements run only while you have them switched on and the screen is open; they take place entirely on the device and are neither sent nor stored. The compass uses the location permission; on iPhone the altimeter uses the “Motion & Fitness” permission and takes the starting elevation from GPS, or you enter it yourself. You can withdraw the “Motion & Fitness” permission on iPhone at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Motion & Fitness → Inverzia.
Camera (What’s that peak?). In Settings you can open the “What’s that peak?” tool, which labels the peaks in the camera image. The app asks for camera access only there and first explains what it is for; without permission it shows the view as a 3D landscape. The camera image is processed only on the device (the names are aligned with the horizon) and discarded immediately — it is neither stored nor sent. A picture with peak names leaves the app only when you tap share, through the system share sheet, where you choose the recipient yourself. The view is calculated on the device from your location and the phone’s orientation sensors, which are not sent anywhere. The app does not use the microphone. You can withdraw camera access at any time — on iPhone: Settings → Privacy & Security → Camera → Inverzia; on Android: Settings → Apps → Inverzia → Permissions → Camera.
Reading aloud and calendar. On request, the app reads the weather forecast aloud. It uses the voice built into the phone’s system — the text is processed on the device and is not sent anywhere. The moon phase, sunrise and sunset times and the lunar calendar are calculated on the device without an internet connection.
Offline maps and elevation model. When you tap to download (“Download” on the Offline maps card, “Download for the trip” at a viewpoint, “On foot”, or the first time you open “What’s that peak?”), the app downloads a map, marked trails, contour lines, relief or an elevation model from our servers mapy.dorotty.cloud and navigacia.dorotty.cloud (run on Cloudflare). The request contains no location or coordinates — only the identifier of the country or viewpoint you are downloading; as with any download, the server sees the device’s IP address. The hiking navigation then runs on the device, even without internet, and does not send your location anywhere.
External services. To obtain weather forecasts and terrain elevation, the app calls the interfaces of the Open-Meteo service. It sends the approximate geographic coordinates of the selected place and, when looking for the valley, of points around it (up to 15 km), always rounded to about 1 km. The same applies to the hourly charts and the 4-day forecast. The inversion map downloads data for a fixed grid of points across whole countries — your location is not used for it at all. The app sends no device identifier and no information that would identify you. The service is operated by OpenMeteo GmbH, based in Switzerland (a country for which the European Commission has recognised an adequate level of data protection); according to its website, it runs servers in Europe and North America. Apart from that, the app itself only downloads maps and elevation models from our servers (see above) and current images of some webcams (see below); the lists of municipalities, peaks, tourist places and viewpoints are part of the installation package. Some viewpoints have webcams — for cameras of ČHMÚ and foto-webcam.eu, the app downloads the current image directly from the operator’s server when you tap one (without coordinates and without any information about you; as with any download, the server only sees the IP address); for the others, the app’s window shows the website of the operator (e.g. Panomax, Feratel, Pfänderbahn, SHMÚ), and the “Route” buttons open route planning on Mapy.com with the viewpoint as the destination. Your device loads these websites like a normal browser, and their operators’ terms apply (e.g. cookie consent); the app itself sends them no data. The “Start navigation” button opens the route outside Inverzia – in the Mapy.com app (if installed) or on its website; the link contains only the coordinates of the destination. In that case the Mapy.com app determines your phone’s location itself, under its own terms; Inverzia does not send it your location.
What the app does not do. It shows no ads, collects no diagnostic or analytics data, builds no advertising profiles, does not sell your data or share it with third parties, does not read your contacts, messages or photos, and does not track you outside the app. The app is free and contains no purchases.
How to delete your data. Remove favourites in the app by tapping the star. Uninstalling the app permanently removes all locally stored data from your device.
GymDict is a voice workout log for the gym. It has no user accounts, ads, analytics or tracking. Speech is recognized on the device without an internet connection, microphone audio is never stored or sent, and workouts are stored only on the device. The app uses the internet only to download the speech model once from dorotty.cloud, which redirects to files hosted on GitHub; as with any download, these providers only see technical connection data. We process personal data on the following legal bases:
We do not store your location on our side. Data in the app, including the coordinates of favourites, stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. We keep accounting records for ten years as required by law. We keep email correspondence until the request is handled and then for at most two years.
We do not sell personal data or share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Only these recipients come into contact with it:
We process data primarily within the European Union. If a transfer to a third country occurs in connection with the services of Apple, Google or Cloudflare, it is based on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission or on an adequacy decision under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
We have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the data we process. The app and the website communicate with external interfaces in encrypted form over HTTPS. Only people who need access to data for their tasks have it, and they are bound by confidentiality.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to rectification or erasure, to restriction of processing, to data portability and the right to object to processing. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time.
To exercise your rights, write to info@dorotty.cloud. We reply within 30 days of receipt at the latest. If you are not satisfied, you can lodge a complaint with our lead supervisory authority — the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov), Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava — or with the supervisory authority in the country where you live.
Our services are not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly process their personal data.
We may update this policy. The current version is always available at this address, and the date from which it applies is shown below the title. If a material change affects the app, we will point it out directly in the app. The Slovak version is authoritative; this translation is provided for your information.
